“Wowzers!” you say. “I am getting clients from all over the place!” Sure I get some local bookings from recommendations on Facebook, or from word of mouth, but most people find me on Google. Hello!?! How many of you are surprised at a good ol’ Googling? I get contacted from people living in California, Minnesota, NYC & even Europe who need a photographer in the Pittsburgh area. I ask them, “How did you hear about me?” – Are you sitting? Their response, “I searched Google!” At this I click my ruby slippers and say, “There’s no place like homepage!” I applaud Search Engine Optimizations on my webhost, PhotoShelter. I do not advertise on the web nor feel the need to do so. I enjoy the benefits of pleasing clients and having them recommend me to their friends & family. Golden Skyline Embraces Wedding

Imagine a beautiful ceremony aboard the Gateway Clipper Fleet augmented by a string quartet playing heavenly Mozart compositions. Amy and Justin were united in front of the sparking Pittsburgh skyline. As we started capturing the formal portraits, the sky opened up in a torrential downpour. We were forced to take the remainder of the bridal party photos inside the boat. To our delight, the clouds parted right before sunset as the Clipper floated past the city as we were ecstatic to capture these images. Congratulations to Amy & Justin! Rain will not Oppress Bliss

Nicole and Mike had a wet start to their wedding day. As a photographer, I would rather have a beautiful, cloudy day filled with rain instead of a sunny day filled with scorching temperatures. A cloudbank creates a natural “soft box” effect that is comparable to working in the photo studio. The highlight to shadow exposure ratio is not as extreme as it is on a sunny day. I still pop a flash at times to brighten up those eyes. Even though it rained on their wedding day, it most definitely did not rain on their parade! Congratulations Nicole and Mike! Mandi and Chris celebrate in NHT!

I find many things enjoyable about a career in photography. One of the things is making people happy – or should I “cheesily” say (while rolling my eyes), “making people smile”. I love the interaction that occurs when capturing an image that celebrates a moment in life. I was extremely excited to capture the image of the groomsman following the instructions to folding the pocket square. In additional to this smokin’ hot couple, highlighs include pre-ceremony at a swanky hotel in Monroeville, a ceremony in Irwin and a rustic-chic reception in North Huntingdon. If you can name two out of the four places we visited, you will be entered into a drawing to receive a portrait session for $65.00 ( valued at $135.00)!
