This tranquil skiing mecca is nestled in the Laurel Highlands and is the perfect setting for a weekend get-away and wedding. This May afternoon embraced the couple in glistening sun and sweeping gentle breezes. It was so idyllic that even the dragonflies were meditative.

One of my favorite images from this wedding occurred after the ceremony when Grandma was giving John advice. She has her index finger extended as she counts the number of ways to make Raechelle happy. As a photographer, I feel that the camera should be perpetually glued to my eye. August 24th may seem like a long time ago, but honeymoons should last an eternity! That is precisely the feeling I got from Maria and Nick as they celebrated their wedding day. This adorable couple was married in Latrobe, PA, and had their reception at DiSalvo’s Station Restaurant. After the ceremony, we stopped by the cigar bar at the restaurant for some formals and grabbed some more portraits at the Winnie Palmer Nature Reserve. You have to admire Maria and Nick for their impeccable planning as Chris and I were delighted by the romantic locations the couple chose for their formals. In addition to the locations, the wedding party was gorgeous and exited to celebrate the couple’s wedding day. We all had a blast celebrating life!

It may be frosty, okay downright freezing today in the Pittsburgh area, but Liz and John’s wedding occurred in late August. The weather that day was just like this couple – gorgeous and beautiful! We were greeted by an extremely happy, Liz whose smile was contagious. Everyone was brimming with excitement as hints of lavender, purple and white danced to a synchronized ballet.
