Photo Blog Kickoff: Getting Pretty!

Getting pretty (or should I say prettier) is my first blog to kick off the 2015 season. I chose Erin and Matt’s wedding held in May of 2014 because they look fantastic together. The reason why I decided to focus upon “getting pretty” is because I love the time before the ceremony. I have been capturing wedding memories for 19 years and still enjoy feeling the heightened levels of excitement that are present at the bride’s house or hotel room. The prepping, primping and fussing about making a beautiful girl even more beautiful blows my mind. I love capturing these moments and love getting the groom’s expression as She enters the church and walks down the nave. In addition to these moments, I have thrown in the first dance as well. Cool Cash for the Dog Days of Summer!

It is that time of year again for the “Dog Days of Summer” (even though we are experiencing cool weather)! In my efforts to support local animal shelters and non-profit groups, all photography sessions booked in August will result in you getting an original artwork AND I will donate 20% of the proceeds in your honor to your preferred non-profit. To ensure your donation, you only have to book and make a deposit in August! Imagine this scenario: you book your wedding at $1550.00. That results in a $310.00 donation to your favorite non-profit! This generous donation is that easy.

March 1st Wedding, Marci and James

March 1^st was a nice day for a white wedding and this couple rocked it! Since wedding season is in full-swing, I wanted to introduce a little bit of snow back into your summer lovin’s. We photographed Marci and James at Round Hill Park in Elizabeth, PA, before heading over to the Sunset Room for the reception. The hall’s moniker lived up to its standard by providing a grand vista to an awesome sunset.

Kelly and Brendon’s April Wedding

The city of Pittsburgh set the stage for Kelly and Brendon’s April wedding. The couple got married and had their reception at the prestigious Le Mont restaurant on Mt. Washington. One of the most memorable moments occurred during the exchanging of vows as they read what they wrote for each other. I am not one for getting emotional during a ceremony, but this was a different case. Maybe it was the spring season, or the vistas of our romantic city, or the smell of pink roses and glistening candles. What ever it was, Brendon channeled poet, Pablo Neruda and lyricist, Dave Matthews to create a lovely vow that left me wondering, “Dang! Attaleigh and Brandon’s Wedding Celebration

Attaleigh and Brandon’s wedding took place last July on the North Side of Pittsburgh. The awesome couple surrounded themselves by an energetic bridal party. One of my favorite images from this wedding is a photo taken from inside the limo. Brandon was concerned that the limo driver was going to miss the exit to the chapel.
