Special Love Story Moments

Special moments can be quiet, reflective, energized or humorous. These special fleeting memories create the narrative of the day that not everyone gets to experience as they occur. Some refer to capturing images in this style as photo-journalistic. Every photographer should be able to tune in and adapt to spontaneous situations and be camera-ready at all times. In addition to these dynamic events, the light is constantly changing so understanding exposure and manual settings is of highest importance. Hope you enjoy some of these decisive wedding moments. Wedding Details

Everyone loves cake and a shout out to the Pittsburgh cookie table! I love capturing the metaphor of the couple’s first test of trust – the missing piece of cake. I always get this image because it shows the ability to collaborate toward the greater good. Not only does it signify trust, but it also represents a commitment to provide for one another. Things may get a little messy, but the strength of collaboration will conquer any test that comes their way. This is love, this is sweet, this is cake. www.amcgregorphotography.com or https://bethelbakery.com/ or https://oakmontbakery.com/

Valentino’s Bouquets

Hey guys! Here’s your Valentine’s reminder to buy the bouquet. Unless… “if you like it, then you shoulda put a ring on it”, as the wise Beyoncé muses. Don’t be like them other jagoffs and grab one after work when you’re buying your milk and chipped ham. Go into a florist, talk to them and walk out with a stunning arrangement. This post is dedicated to all those beautiful details that make each and every wedding unique, special and personalized. As always, thank you for visiting. www.amcgregorphotography.com

Late Summer Wedding

Cheers to Erin & Colten

Excitement fills my heart when I hear of a couple’s wedding day plans. I approach every wedding to best capture their unique relationship and Big Day dreams. Erin and Colten just had a great vibe when describing their Love Story. They included everything from historic buildings and an outdoor ceremony to a scotch bar and adorable “flower grannies”. Even though I packed this blog with more photos than usual, I think the best portrait of them is the nocturne. It includes only the props of a candelabra and her bouquet against a wooden backdrop. Colten kisses Erin’s hand as she stares directly into the lens, with a bit of an attitude that declares, “He’s all mine”. Their romantic vows to each other could have been stanzas lifted from a poem by Pablo Naruda. Everything was perfect under the breezes of late summer. Referral Fact: Erin was in her brother’s wedding as a bridesmaid back in 2020. Tyler and Jessica You can view all of Erin and Colten’s wedding photos at Aaron McGregor Photography. Thanks and Cheers! Celebration at The Barn at Madison

All day wedding ceremonies & receptions that take place in one location have been trending over the last 10 years. In addition to the venues providing separate locations for the bride and groom to get ready, it also gives me extra time to take formals and portraits! Kimberly and David booked The Madison Mansion for the weekend, which gave them plenty of time to decorate the day before their wedding. Kim designed the floral arrangements and decorated the wedding arbor. The three-story venue utilizes the top floor to house the pre-ceremony preparations, the middle floor for the formal dinner and the bottom floor opens as the dance space for the reception.  They held their ceremony on the luscious, green lawn surrounded by large pines, elegant gardens, a rustic, wooden barn and the mansion itself. It was a sweet, intimate wedding celebrated with their immediate family and friends. As always, thanks for your attention! Aaron McGregor Photography
