Props are Tops

Why yes, Norwin has a Trap team! Kayla’s mom hit me up to capture her senior portraits and I didn’t realize Norwin offered the Olympic sport. Apparently, several schools offer Trap. Kayla brought her shotgun to the photo session. I’ve captured student musicians with their instruments and pet lovers with their dogs. The prop was something exciting and different. I always think of ways to use props to elevate the energy level and relate them to the person. Thanks for looking & hope you enjoy! Aaron McGregor Photography

Senior Portraits at Autumn Ridge Farm

Having picturesque scenery really enhances a portrait in reflecting one’s personality. Many clients request wildflowers or old cars in a rural setting. Lisa hired me to take her family portraits 10 years ago so I was excited that she reached out to me to take her daughter’s senior portraits. For a small fee, Autumn Ridge Farms gives permission to access their working farm. This rural location fulfills the wildflowers and old car wish. The bonus was getting visits from an overly friendly cat and surprise visit from a Highlander calf. Big cheer goes out to Riley for her enthusiasm! I hope you have a great senior year! Wanting more portraits? Aaron McGregor Photography Thanks for your visit!

Oak Lodge Wedding

Here’s a deep secret that I scream every day – I LOVE GETTING REFERRALS – especially when its the maiden of honor hiring us from 12 year ago! Sabrina & David had a wedding of the ages. At the edge of the Laurel Highlands in Stahlstown, PA, rests the lovely Oak Lodge. It is gorgeous and romantic. These two are magical together & their passion for life is endless. We captured their engagement session on Mt. Washington (blog post later). As for now… enjoy their outdoor photos! You can also check out their entire wedding at aaron mcgregor photography Side note: I am happily celebrating 25 years as a sole-proprietor in North Huntingdon, PA, & I STILL don’t charge an “arm and a leg”.

Golden Skyline Embraces Wedding

Imagine a beautiful ceremony aboard the Gateway Clipper Fleet augmented by a string quartet playing heavenly Mozart compositions. Amy and Justin were united in front of the sparking Pittsburgh skyline. As we started capturing the formal portraits, the sky opened up in a torrential downpour. We were forced to take the remainder of the bridal party photos inside the boat. To our delight, the clouds parted right before sunset as the Clipper floated past the city as we were ecstatic to capture these images. Congratulations to Amy & Justin!  Please check out a few more happy couples on my website at Aaron McGregor Photography.
