Rain will not Oppress Bliss

Nicole and Mike had a wet start to their wedding day. As a photographer, I would rather have a beautiful, cloudy day filled with rain instead of a sunny day filled with scorching temperatures. A cloudbank creates a natural “soft box” effect that is comparable to working in the photo studio. The highlight to shadow exposure ratio is not as extreme as it is on a sunny day. I still pop a flash at times to brighten up those eyes. Even though it rained on their wedding day, it most definitely did not rain on their parade! Congratulations Nicole and Mike! Mandi and Chris celebrate in NHT!

I find many things enjoyable about a career in photography. One of the things is making people happy – or should I “cheesily” say (while rolling my eyes), “making people smile”. I love the interaction that occurs when capturing an image that celebrates a moment in life. I was extremely excited to capture the image of the groomsman following the instructions to folding the pocket square. In additional to this smokin’ hot couple, highlighs include pre-ceremony at a swanky hotel in Monroeville, a ceremony in Irwin and a rustic-chic reception in North Huntingdon. The Atrium Wedding

Azure skies and sun kissed bouquets embraced Christina and Mike on their wedding day. Christina and her girls got ready at the church while the guys showed up all decked out in their tuxes. I was told a few years ago that Pittsburgh based transportation company, Molly’s Trolleys was out of business. So I was thrilled to see their trolley pull into the church parking lot. After the ceremony, we were able to grab some formal portraits in the gardens of The Atrium in Prospect, PA. After the formals, we were all treated to a wonderful and romantic evening.
