Morgan & Joseph at SanaView Farms

One should expect a celestial event when a couple plan their outdoor wedding. I was so thrilled when my friend and colleague, Morgan, hired me to capture her and Joseph’s memories of their Big Day at SanaView Farms. Chris and I had a great time at your wedding and extend our biggest congratulations and best of wishes! Click on the link to view their entire wedding!  Aaron McGregor Photography

A Wedding Among the Trees

When a couple plan their wedding, they create a microcosm of their existence and relationship together. Cory and Kevin celebrated their nuptials in Linn State Park in the scenic Laurel Highlands, Ligonier, PA. Being Cory’s friend, I was amazed but not surprised by her carefree attitude and adventuresome spirit as she hiked the trails in her gown BEFORE the ceremony! I regard the photo of her with her flower girls as one of my best images to date! I wish them the Best of Wishes! Congratulations Cory & Kevin Bowen! #browenwedding www.amcgregorphotography.com

Two Gender Reveals and a Wedding!

Abby and Josh pulled together a wedding in three weeks. I know, some people take a year to plan so this was pretty hard to believe! They are expecting twins due in July and wanted to have a gender reveal at the reception. I was so excited for them! A few weeks ago Abby reached out to me to photograph her maternity session. Those will be posted in the near future! I wish Abby and Joshua the best of wishes and look forward to seeing their two son grow! Please check out my new website! It is smartphone and tablet friendly now!!! www.amcgregorphotography.com

Photo Marketing Tips

“Wowzers!” you say. “I am getting clients from all over the place!” Sure I get some local bookings from recommendations on Facebook, or from word of mouth, but most people find me on Google. Hello!?! How many of you are surprised at a good ol’ Googling? I get contacted from people living in California, Minnesota, NYC & even Europe who need a photographer in the Pittsburgh area. I ask them, “How did you hear about me?” – Are you sitting? Their response, “I searched Google!” At this I click my ruby slippers and say, “There’s no place like homepage!” I applaud Search Engine Optimizations on my webhost, PhotoShelter. I do not advertise on the web nor feel the need to do so. I enjoy the benefits of pleasing clients and having them recommend me to their friends & family. By adhering to this marketing plan, I can keep prices within your budget! Best wishes and congratulations to Caitlin & Matt on their wedding in Pittsburgh, PA. Did I mention that having a blog on WordPress has it’s benefits too! I hope you enjoy these images of this gorgeous couple. amcgregorphotography.com

Seeing the Light

Among the perils of being a professional photographer is the ability to maintain a blog, web site, marketing and business plan and accounting ledger on a daily basis. Oh wow! Did I mention collaborating with clients and capturing their dreams and editing their photos? First and foremost, congratulations to Sara & Nick on their marriage. They were married and had their reception at the Omni William Penn in Pittsburgh, PA. It was delightful to say the least. My mission this year is to teach techniques and relate my experiences so budding photographers know what they are getting into and would like some insights. Here are the first tips of 2017! #1. Become a marketing Guru #2. Understand ISO, aperture and shutter speeds #3. Embrace and capture Light in all forms #4. Expect everything to happen when you are daydreaming and #5 Live. Love. Embrace!
