Late Summer Wedding

Cheers to Erin & Colten

Excitement fills my heart when I hear of a couple’s wedding day plans. I approach every wedding to best capture their unique relationship and Big Day dreams. Erin and Colten just had a great vibe when describing their Love Story. They included everything from historic buildings and an outdoor ceremony to a scotch bar and adorable “flower grannies”. Even though I packed this blog with more photos than usual, I think the best portrait of them is the nocturne. It includes only the props of a candelabra and her bouquet against a wooden backdrop. Colten kisses Erin’s hand as she stares directly into the lens, with a bit of an attitude that declares, “He’s all mine”. Their romantic vows to each other could have been stanzas lifted from a poem by Pablo Naruda. Everything was perfect under the breezes of late summer. Referral Fact: Erin was in her brother’s wedding as a bridesmaid back in 2020. Tyler and Jessica You can view all of Erin and Colten’s wedding photos at Aaron McGregor Photography. Thanks and Cheers! Celebrate Life with Enlargements

The days are long sometimes, but the years are short. This resonates more when you have children. The years between diapers and graduation caps are fleeting. I love getting that memory on social of my kiddo when he was a wee one. What is better? The enlargements I have of him in our home. Missy hired me to capture her maternity session and continued to have me take portraits as her family grew. It must be our obligation as parents to have a tangible record of our children as our families grow. Do yourself a favor, book a portrait session. Thanks for your time! Aaron McGregor Photography

Warm & Fuzzy Springs Forth

Portraits Now!

The kaleidoscopic transition of foliage always heralds in the start of holiday portrait season. Oppressive humidity gives way to cooler weather and all day photo sessions. Our summer tans still radiate like the golden beaches of vacation. The warm and fuzzy season sprouts like marshmallows on hot cocoa. These photos of the Prosdocimo family were taken last fall at Bushy Run. They are just a small handful of the 225 photos they received from that one-hour photo session. Email me at amcgregorphoto@gmail.com to book your portrait session before the sunlight wanes into the hot cocoa. Aaron McGregor Portraits

Props are Tops

Why yes, Norwin has a Trap team! Kayla’s mom hit me up to capture her senior portraits and I didn’t realize Norwin offered the Olympic sport. Apparently, several schools offer Trap. Kayla brought her shotgun to the photo session. I’ve captured student musicians with their instruments and pet lovers with their dogs. The prop was something exciting and different. I always think of ways to use props to elevate the energy level and relate them to the person. Thanks for looking & hope you enjoy! Aaron McGregor Photography

Senior Portraits at Autumn Ridge Farm

Having picturesque scenery really enhances a portrait in reflecting one’s personality. Many clients request wildflowers or old cars in a rural setting. Lisa hired me to take her family portraits 10 years ago so I was excited that she reached out to me to take her daughter’s senior portraits. For a small fee, Autumn Ridge Farms gives permission to access their working farm. This rural location fulfills the wildflowers and old car wish. The bonus was getting visits from an overly friendly cat and surprise visit from a Highlander calf. Big cheer goes out to Riley for her enthusiasm! I hope you have a great senior year!
