What’s a 15 minute mini-session? Is it quality or quantity? Let me tell you, it is neither. As a client, it takes 15 minutes to get comfortable striking a pose, settling in and exuding confidence. Even professional models take longer that 15 minutes for a photo shoot. How is a photographer expected to connect, relate and gain trust to make their clients shine in 15 minutes? Puh-lease, just stop with the 15 minute, 50 dollar robbery to your clients. Offer them something they will cherish instead of a quick, lackluster experience. Making a connection with your people is what it’s all about. In a world filled with hectic, microwaveable processes, can we just slow the pace and take one hour to relax and enjoy life?

Ok ok, sure it only took Lauren and Jace 30 seconds to drop into fire status. However, we knew each other from Jace’s sister’s wedding in April (Melea & Jonny). They also have beautiful chemistry so capturing their engagement session was magical. Sure, it could have taken us 15 minutes, but call me selfish. I wanted to spend time with them. As a creative, I thrive off of great vibes and good mojo. I need that emotion as a vehicle to express my work.
