Late Summer Wedding

Excitement fills my heart when I hear of a couple’s wedding day plans. I approach every wedding to best capture their unique relationship and Big Day dreams. Erin and Colten just had a great vibe when describing their Love Story. They included everything from historic buildings and an outdoor ceremony to a scotch bar and adorable “flower grannies”. Even though I packed this blog with more photos than usual, I think the best portrait of them is the nocturne. It includes only the props of a candelabra and her bouquet against a wooden backdrop. Colten kisses Erin’s hand as she stares directly into the lens, with a bit of an attitude that declares, “He’s all mine”. Their romantic vows to each other could have been stanzas lifted from a poem by Pablo Naruda. Everything was perfect under the breezes of late summer. Portraits Now!

The kaleidoscopic transition of foliage always heralds in the start of holiday portrait season. Oppressive humidity gives way to cooler weather and all day photo sessions. Our summer tans still radiate like the golden beaches of vacation. The warm and fuzzy season sprouts like marshmallows on hot cocoa. These photos of the Prosdocimo family were taken last fall at Bushy Run. They are just a small handful of the 225 photos they received from that one-hour photo session. Hiatus Rejuvinated

My niece, Aley, and her groom Joe embraced each other on October 31, 2022. Yes, that seems like a decade ago but they are still celebrating their honeymoon – as it should be. I haven’t been blasting everyone with promos and blog posts in a while because I didn’t know where I would be after hip surgery. Well let me tell you that modern medicine and prayers are miraculous! Wedding Adjustments 2020

An amazing year of 2020 has just finished. Yep, that is not a typo and I am not delusional. A wedding that has been in the planning phase for 2 years will NOT be stopped… NOT now, NOT EVER! Fortunately, all of the crazy shifting of dates in 2020 to alternative dates has been relatively easy. I recommended Friday or Sundays & many brides were already thinking that move to avoid venue, DJ & photographer conflicts with other wedding clients. A reputable photographer will require a signed contract. This is absolutely crucial: it locks in the photographer to be present on your wedding day unless an act of God determines otherwise. As we begin a new year, my next blog posts will focus on an amazing 2020 filled with Love Stories & Amazing People. Today is NOT the day to quit living, NOT now, NOT EVER! Dancing in the Rain: Wedding of Nikki & Mike

“Anyone who says ‘Sunshine brings happiness’ has never danced in the rain.” -Anonymous. Nikki & Mike’s Love Story unfolded on September 1st during a steady driving rain, but that didn’t stop this amazing couple from celebrating! They loved, laughed & embraced one another as soon as they were hand in hand at the ceremony. When I took their engagement photos, I knew this was going to be a fun couple with an awesome wedding party! They all were Rock Stars! Chris and I had such a great time with the families! Congratulations to you both and your family!
